Boy, Was I Wrong About The Pops Concert

The Boston Pops 4th of July Concert on the Esplanade did not hit one bad note. Boy was I wrong about my predictions and gladly so.
Keith Lockhart put together the right mix of tradition, style and pop and John Melancamp rocked.
Also, Craig Ferguson, of CBS Late Night was a very good choice to host.
Don't know if the Boston Pops organization came to the same conclusion that past 4th of July Concerts have been a dismal failure and they worked to fix it for this concert but what ever they did it all worked.
Sometime, is is not so bad to admit you were wrong...Now, if the guy in the White House.... Well, that is asking too much.

Congratulations to CBS 4 and the Boston Pops for an outstanding Esplande Concert.

How many years have these 4th of July concerts been nationally televised? This is the first one that I recall. Perhaps that is because it's the first one that I actually watched. My night of Fireworks was rained out. So I watched this one from home. I have to say that I did enjoy it.

This was the fifth year it was on CBS.
