Boycott - Buy Local

It takes courage to stand up for your beliefs. Those listeners were upset that their local morning show was being outsourced from Lincoln, Nebraska to Omaha. They were subsequently threatened by attorneys. It is no time for radio corporations to beat up on the community when they complain to advertisers about programming changes. Boycotting is the American way ever since the colonists boycotted British import regulations (The Boston Tea Party) and the Buy American campaigns that oppose the outsourcing of jobs overseas by boycotting imports. Why can't we refuse to buy from local advertisers who support the outsourcing of jobs from our local announcers and let them know why we are refusing to buy? Cowards hide behind lawyers. The courageous are not afraid to speak up for the local workers who are dumped for workers from other cities because it saves the big radio corporation money.

You see how successful those boycotts have been? It's like placing sanctions on Cuba.

The Boston Tea Party was about the action of a government. Not a private business.

Choosing not to buy certain products is your own business. The minute you send letters to uninvolved third parties, you're stepping over the line. It's one thing to have the courage to stand up for one's beliefs. It's another thing to deal with the consequences.
