Boycott KHMX

Sam Malone aint crap, do you really think he is going to be the super hero and come save the day with that boring "See Ya" crap, you have to be joking, if ratings are down on the radio stations it is because of the horrible mix of music they play, Roula And Ryan didn't get voted by the Houston Chronicle as "Best Personalities In Houston" for nothing, they were the only thing keeping that ship a float, and now they have Sam & Natalie, come on all you dj's on this site have to be smarter than some of the posts I have just seen. Screw Ken Charles And Buddy Scott, to back stab three people like that is messed up, they better be lucky they weren't giving me my walking papers.

sure you rise above it, but do you do that at the expense of not making any noise? That's what separates people with "backbone" from people with the "lax do nothing plan" I can tell which side your on "the do nothing" side.

I will never go into radio, doesn't suit my personality, however I will continue to fight for what is important to me. I did not mean to offend, I am just sick of some of the posts on here condemning someone for standing up for someone. Goodnight.

Stevens and Pruitt, Steve and Jeff, R & R, entire formats....

This is how Clear Channel Communications prefers to run its' stations. It must make them a heap of money.
Like many others, I have abandoned radio all together. There's just too many alternatives.

Cumulus seems to have a perfect slot opening up for them in about 6 months.

The Chronical means NOTHING! Hell, Charlie Pallilo just got voted "Best Personality" by the Houston Press... woo-hoo!

I love to watch people Clear Channel bash. It shows how little they know of broadcasting. Entercom, Infinity, Cumulus, Rubber City Radio, and almost every other radio group has done it. It happened in radio looooooooong before there were "Evil Corporate Giants" invading the industry. Long before most posters on this board were born. It has nothing to do with "corporate radio" and everything to do with profit. You take what doesn't work and replace it with what does. Put it in different terms. You open a place of business you are sure everyone will love because you love it... only everyone doesn't love it. Do you keep trying to stay in business because it's important to you and lose your money... or would you change your business to fit the market? Answering anything but the obvious here will make you look stupid. People said the same thing about KLOL getting blown up. Look at the numbers and the billing. It was a very sound business move. I got let go once because a station decided to go full time satellite (back when it was all the rage). Guess what. The company that did it was owned and operated by a husband and wife. They were good people, but the bottom line was still the bottom line. Maybe that's why it gives me some perspective on this that a lot of people on here seem to lack. While I wasn't happy about getting eliminated because of the bird... I was level headed enough to at least understand why.

That pretty much sums it up.
We don't know that much about broadcasting.

Broadcasting is like any other business. If you don't like the product and don't complain then you really are doing the provider a disservice.
If you feel the provider doesn't care, change providers. It's that simple.

No one really cares about the operational metrics. It's public perception.

I've had that happen to me.

It sucks, but it's radio.

Dude, it's just a radio show.

Six months from now, you'll be saying Roula and Who? and they'll be in some other market.

It's only radio.<P ID="signature">______________

No, if we're going to plagerize, it was Bum Philips that said, "There are two kinds of coaches, them that have been fired and them that are gonna be fired."

Radio is one of the most impersonal businesses there is. I was once told that I have a job, even went as far as negotiating the compensation package only to be called in a week later to be told to wait a couple of days for approval. Several months later, I'm still waiting.

Well he won't have the well rounded (all walks of life) audience Roula & Ryan attracted, wouldn't that be a better demographic overall and for the future. I know the women aren't calling in just to hear Sam whisper "See Ya" sweet nothings in their ear. (***PUKE****PUKE******)

no these three great people (Roula, Ryan & Eric) were more to that to their fans. The fans felt a part of their family, that is something Sam Malone will never have on his show. Six months from now Roula & Ryan will be on another station right here in Houston kicking Sam Malone's ass. As for all you radio people on this site, quit responding by saying it is part of radio, I am a listener not in radio, don't tell me how to show displeasure or concern over something I care about. If your skin is so thick, move on, move past it, but quit sending me posts telling me how to react. I know their are alot of people reading these boards, fans of R & R just like me.

Do not expect agreement or support in this forum. Folks generally don't want to bite the hand that feeds them.

You want support, start a site of your own and call it "Bring Back R&R" or something. Then you'll truly see why things are the way they are.

Visit RockAid.com and see what you can expect.

Maybe you can put R & R on KIOL. They need something to replace W&J.
