Boycotting WFMX - send them an email

Who makes the most? Not true for every station, but you can pretty much bank on:

THE GM - makes the most and works the least
THE GSM - is next - also works the least.
THE LSM - next
THE MORNING HOST - there may be a few stations where this person makes more than the GM and is most cases, makes twice anyone else on the air staff.
THE CHIEF ENGINEER - unless its a contract situation
THE PD - works more hours than anyone above except maybe the engineer
DJS and promotions people bring up the rear. News people fall into this group, too.

For you youngsters who want to own their own stations - start buying stock now, cause thats about the only way its gonna happen. Meanwhile, if you want to be GM, get some experience in all areas of the station - particularly in sales. And you better be good at it because the GM who doesn't have a solid sales background is rare (although there are some notable excptions).

Josh, you and Blancher I extend a big thank you too...I mean hey, I LOVE THIS JOB myself, and i know it hadn't paid off monetarily like I wanted it too, so you know what, I started an Internet Radio station, hosting my own servers, and such, and you know what, we are slowly getting off the ground, b/c when advertsing comes around like it should, then I work towards getting property, and becoming the new FMX, even though I have the call letters WNIH, I play country music, and I love it....I am waiting for licensing to come thru, and then from there, I will work further on acquring land, and a building permit, and such....b/c I want to be the next WFMX, and to tell ya what I hope it comes in the next 10-15 years....

Yeah to a point it would...b/c when we get kicked off I will let every1 know...that way openings won't be nedded too often...
