BRAD BARTON TO WBAP!!!!!

Driving at lunch, I heard "WBAP Chief Meteorologist Brad Barton". Very awesome. Glad to hear him back on the radio - and today had the potential for a Brad Barton-kind-of-day!

Thee is GOOD News on the radio today! Good for Brad and ALL WBAP listeners!!

Oh Boy! A weather man on the radio... Only good news is they don't have any sports for him to cut in on!

Wait don't they have Baylor Football? Oh wait, you're right. They don't have any sports for him to cut in on. ;-)

This move is a real plus for WBAP and gives them instant credibility. I also noticed last night that they had a more adult-sounding traffic reporter on during Laura Ingraham's show.

The best DFW radio news this year. What time does his forecast air. Is it top of hour 8's, 5's or what?

I listened to their morning show today, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. There are certainly a lot of people vying for air time . . . Hal, Brian, Steve, Amy, Brad, Monty, and Laura . . . just to name a few.

You mean WBAP is actually going back to doing news plus weather?? Pinch me I must be dreaming.

This is indeed great news after a disgraceful period of using the Weather Channel or non-meterologist Troy Dungan from channel 8 phoning in the weather.

O hurray! How many people will have to take a pay cut to pay for Barton?

There is a new guy there who will be replacing either Hal Jay or Steve Lamb, the two highly paid guys. That is where the money will come from.

Although I listen every morning, I can't recall the new guys name. He seems to read a lot of week old stuff off the internet.

If he replaces Hal, it will be a poor choice for a replacement.
