Brad Bleidt is about to get company, another 1060 alumni

Did he really think he was clever doing what he was doing while calling the name of his show "Your Money"?

Gregg T."Rennie was convicted in federal court in January. The former host of the “Your Money” radio talk show on WBIX-AM (1060) pleaded guilty to 13 counts of securities fraud and one count of wire fraud."

I don't recall Rennie ever appearing on a show of his own on WBIX. I do recall his appearing on a show of his own on WCRN. And I do recall Rennie's sponsoring a show on WBIX that was hosted by Chuck Jaffe. Rennie was a recurring guest on that show. Very surprised that Jaffe got tangled up with Rennie. Jaffe, who, AFAIK, still works for CBS MarketWatch and USED to appear regularly on PBS Nightly Business Report, always maintained a holier-than-thou position on hosts of financial talk shows. As Jaffe loved to point out, most financial-talk hosts are selling a product or service and their program content promotes the product or service. Jaffe made a big point of his being a journalist with no connection to any financial service or product. However, he did promote, on the air, Rennie's service, which turned out to be a Ponzi scheme. Jaffe would probably say that he was merely reading commercial copy for a service offered by the guy who paid for his (Jaffe's) air time and that those spots did not influence any of the program content. But Jaffe also appeared at promotional meetings at which Rennie tried to recruit clients. I never attended any of those meetings but it seems unlikely to me that Jaffe would simply have provided background information at such meetings.

I really liked Jaffe's program and I was really disheartened when I learned that the guy who paid for the air time had been indicted.
