Brad, Lap and Chris Henry

Truly sad what happened to the Bengals Chris Henry. Hopefully he will recover from his injuries. Even if he does, his football career could be over. The ten year long tire fire that was his personal life has cost him dearly in his professional life. I will miss the screaming excitement of Brad and Lap whenever Chris made one of his trademark spectacular catches.

It's sad and I hope he recovers, but it doesn't really surprise me. Henry has a history of being a dumbass, I guess it caught up to him.

What these kids don't understand is that, one way or another, it usually does.

Chris has passed away and it is truly sad. So I turn into the "Home of the Best Bengals Coverage" and I get Cincinnati Strangler talk on the Big One and only a 20 second mention at the bottom of the hour news. What happened to blowing out coverage and getting people on the air to talk about an unbelievable human tragedy. Another failure by DP!

WLW covered the press conference, I didn't hear Willy but my understanding is he had guests scheduled to talk about him, and Eddie and Tracy have been talking about him

After my original post above, Chris unfortunately died. WLW is now in full spin mode. I am very sorry he's dead, but Chris Henry killed Chris Henry. He spent his life being a poster child for stupid. His college football coach called him an embarrassment to the program and to the school. The judge who sentenced him for giving alcohol to minors called him a one-man crime wave. The Bengals suspended him twice and then booted him off the team. Mike Brown gave him yet another chance, over the objections of Coach Lewis. He was arrested 5 times during his stay in Cincinnati. He made some serious jack, but managed his finances so poorly that he lost his home to foreclosure. He fathered 3 kids out of wedlock. He died during a domestic violence incident. I could go on anmd on. And yet WLW insists he "was turning his life around". Please. I believe I've heard that line used by the fanmilies of every drug dealer and street thug that's been killed over the last 10 years. He was a good football player who used very poor judgement in just about every other facet of his life. I feel very sorry for his children, family, team mates and friends. We won't be hearing about his great play in any more Bengals games, and I will miss that. But let's not turn him into a hero in death.
