I saw the posting for the weekend weather job and a friend tells me April's taking over weather in the mornings. So what are they doing with Brad now?

Brad Perry off 3 Mornings?

God help us! As fickle as Brad is, April is totally a lightweight and not very entertaining. I can just see the gabfest now between Tara, Olivia, and April about their personal lives. Note to the women: I really don't care about your husbands, your kids, your house, etc.!
Plus, did anyone catch what happened last weekend when April's alarm clock "didn't go off"???

I don't either. But KTVK's core audience (women in their '30s and '40s) does.
She fits in better with KTVK's now-almost-100% female-oriented programming direction. April's certainly not the best, but she's an order-of-magnitude better than Perry, who can be a decent weatherman if he'd just quit making an idiot of himself. The Dewey Hopper School of Weather-buffooning just doesn't do it for me.
And it's not just The Place With No News. I just can't stomach any of the morning shows anymore. Channel 10's Arizona American Idol All The Time Morning is just about as bad.
But don't they tell Brad to act goofy in his live reports/weather forecasts??? I thought that was part of KTVK's GMAZ strategy!?!
When I moved here three years ago, I loved the quirkiness of GMAZ! I thought it was unique. Now, it's turned into "The Place for Women Only".

4. 12 News with Scott Lightweight and the Women Who Tries Too Hard

I find myself gravitating toward 12 News. At least it's not too irritating.

I 100% agree, but if that's what brought you to the dance, go with it. A few years ago I went to Improv where Perry was the MC for Tommy Davidson. Brad did a good job but when I told my co-workers I saw him do stand-up all they wanted to know if he danced.

In the 8:00am hour, Tess clarified that April's alarm clock did go off and she was on-time. However, the weather computer crashed right before she was supposed to leave and do her live shot at the whiffleball tournement. So, she was actually at the studio trying to re-boot the weather computer, not at home in bed.
But, good grief, don't they have a weather producer/intern there to help out? It seems like it would be necessary because April is expected to do a live report every Saturday and Sunday morning.
Meanwhile, I believe that April's photojournalist could be a great reporter with some practice and training! Given the situation, she was very engaging!

As of this morning (30 October) April Warnecke (sp) is the new meteorologist of GMAZ. Brad is still with the program, not doing weather but being more of a roving reporter. KTVK has not hired a weekend weather guesser yet so April will only be doing three weekdays and the weekends. Brad probably will do the other two weekdays.
It was said that it was Brad's idea to stop doing the weather.

Erika has been a fill-in for a couple of years. I've seen her sub for Royal Norman during their main newscasts. The only other job that I know she does on 3TV is co-host a Diamondbacks pre-game show with her husband Matt Williams. That show might be cancelled because Fox Sports AZ is now the home to all D-Backs TV games.
Why is 3TV still running the promos that Royal, Brad, and April are still the official forecasters of the Desert Botanical Garden -- if Brad has been pulled off weather duties?
Brad does a credible job at weather forecasting when he puts on a suit and does the forecast seriously. In the pre-April days, he subbed occasionally on the weekends during one of the ratings periods and did a good job.
