BRADLEY JAY

This past Sunday's show (August 19, 2012) 10pm. His show was great. Good stuff. Great topic. He was talking about, (Was it better back in the day, or is it better now) mostly talking how we conversate (Phone, email, Text, in person.....) It was funny, but a good topic.
That's what I like about Talk Radio ([Good Life Morning Show on Big City 101.3-weekdays 8am hour], Warren Ballentine, Howie Carr, Jerry Doyle, Dan Rae...) They talk about a number of different topics.
Anyways, great show this past Sunday.

Bradley is on WBZ, AM 1030 in Boston, MA (Sundays 10pm-Midnight)

Along with Dean Johnson and Morgan White Jr, Bradley is also sharing fill-in replacement duties on WBZ's overnight program (midnight to 5:00AM M-F--remembering that a lot of people consider midnight Monday to still be part of Sunday). WBZ is supposedly trying out Bradley, Dean, and Morgan for the full-time host job on the 25 hours/week overnight program (and will eventually pick one of the three to replace Steve LeVeille, who retired without warning several months ago). WBZ can be heard on the Internet just about anywhere and on most nights, its clear-channel AM signal is audible throughout the eastern US and eastern Canada.

Of the three fill-in hosts, Bradley is my favorite, but I don't think you will find anything that even remotely resembles unanimity on that point here.

Bradley Jay = "etcetera"

Some of you will get that reference. ::)

Never liked him since his first appearance on "BZ years ago, can't stand him now.

Sunday's night's topic was a good one I suppose, he just has the dopiest radio manner of any host I have ever heard. Must be all those early years drugs... ::)

As another poster mentioned in the LeVielle replacement thread - just painful to listen to.

He sounds like an (albeit, competent) AOR jock who was just asked 5 minutes ago to fill in as a talk show host, with all its own unique format peculiarities that don’t mesh with a rock jock....Oh! Wait a minute, that’s right——he’s a veteran 'BCN jock! ::)

remember the first year at the sports hub during patriots pregame he was asked to ask the crowd questions epic fail!!

I hardly never listen to Bradley Jay myself, I just happened to tune it right quick, liked that topic, and kept it on.
I also like Morgan White Jr. He's ok. Not bad at all

If Bradley Jay stays on Sunday nights, WBZ-1030 should dump the infomercials and expand his show to 8:05 P.M.-12 Midnight.
agree

B Jay can't bring them any money like infomercials can. I can't stand to listen to hardly any weekend radio because of infomercials. ::)

Bradley's a breath of fresh air for WBZ AM. Unconventional, usually compelling.

Agreed..loved him on BCN (especially on the 4 day farewell, he did a fantastic job, and great with the signing off)..and I love his show on 'BZ as well

Bradley is too 'heavy' with politics on the overnight.

While I tend to agree with what he is saying at 2:30 in the morning I want to forget about the real world for a few minutes.

BZ overnight has been fluff since Glick - followed by Dave Maynard, Bob Raleigh, Norm Nathan and Steve Leveille.

I don't want to get agitated at 3 AM.

Especially when he sounds like a dope discussing politics, or anything else for that matter. At least Steve made sense, could carry on an intelligent conversation, and would not talk down to the caller.

What is Bradley Jay's problem with religion, anyway? He will seize any opportunity to steer a caller in that direction is there is the slightest mention of it during the conversation & then try to back them into a corner or bash them. Classic unprofessionalism at its' finest. ::)

In Steve's words - What a MORON!

You know, I kinda miss Steve...almost wish he would come back from retirement.

Bet BZ's ratings would pop if that happened! ;)
