bragging rights at the local level

I sure haven't seen anyone bragging about having the #1 news in the AM, 6pm or 11pm. KGO used to always advertise Number One at 6pm and KNTV would brag that they were #1 at 11. I haven't seen any one saying anything for quite a while. Are they just ignoring the bragging rights?
