Brand new 96.7 pirate station in central NJ!

I heard a pirate station on 96.7 playing dead air with a stereo pilot since Thursday, it could be heard all the way from Rahway to New Brunswick. It was interfering with another pirate station on 96.7.
So this makes at least 3 new pirate stations in 3 different locations in the past 2 months.

Why would someone take the risk of running a pirate station just to broadcast dead air?

nick, i'm hearing a jewish pirate on 99.9 coming in like a local here near south amboy, 107.9's still something spanish with a killer signal and there's some other foreign language station on 87.7/9 that intereferes w/ pulse 87 from the amboy's northward. any idea on these and their locations?

There's a 99.9 in both Newark and Brooklyn, those interfere with each other. 107.9 is from Elizabeth. 87.9 is from Newark. There's also a pirate on 87.7 itself, but that can only be heard in downtown Newark. Do you get Dead Air 96.7?

i haven't heard anything on 96.7
Well, that implies that you do get the 96.7 pirate, because it really is transmitting dead air.
As of this morning, it's still on.

This is the sound of 96.7 _____? I remember a few months back some polish rap pirate was on this frequency around linden/rahway.

i love that new station... 96.7 dead fm and their 9 to 5 no repeat work-day. you'll never hear the same dead air twice.

Looks like we have a format change. Dead Air 96.7 is now playing hip hop. I miss the silence.

Great, so we can hear hip hop from Paterson to New Brunswick on the Parkway/Turnpike on 96.5 & 96.7. Funny how they both are blasting out Wired, is that station not good enough or something?
