It appears he will be on both 3TV AND CBS5:

CBS5 News at 6:30 PM and 10:30 PM with Kris Pickle
3TV at 8 PM with Heather Moore

"Back in November, FTVLive told you that KPHO/KTVK Main Anchor Brandon Lee had left the station, which surprised many people.

Well now, he is surprising people again!

He just announced on his social media that he is returning to the Phoenix station and he is returning tonight."

That is a fascinating development. There was a post in ftvlive in the past week or two that said Jared had been promoted to primary evening anchor for 3TV. He mentioned CBS5 News at 10:30 -- does he mean CBS5 News at 10pm or 3TV News at 10:30? And what is happening to Sean???

Not surprised at all. In short order, Lee probably couldn't find a better offer elsewhere. So he returned, with less leverage than before most likely.

That said, he is a good anchor though, but Dillingham definitely earned his way to full-time anchor after Lee's first exit. It'll be interesting to see how this plays out.
 
So, trying to piece this together from multiple FB posts, is appears that the new schedule is something like:

3TV News
4pm -- Crites
5pm -- Dillingham and Crites
6pm -- Dillingham and Crites
8pm -- Lee and Moore
9pm -- Dillingham and Moore
10pm -- McLaughln and Moore
10:30pm -- Lee and Pickel (w/McLaughlin doing Weather)

CBS5News --
5pm -- McLaughlin and Pickel
6:30pm -- Lee and Pickel
10pm -- ?

With this latest anchor shuffle, one thing is certain: Heather Moore isn't going anywhere, and rightly so. She's the (Phoenix) market's best evening news anchor, and arguably has been for the past 10 years..... easily. :p...;)

But if I were Sean, I'd be updating my resume. That is, unless he's planning to retire in the next year or so.

Yes, the best anchors leave and then return. ;)

But the best thing will be #dudenews or #broshow when Moore is on vacation! For the uninitiated, that's Jared and Brandon.

Exactly!

As for Sean's future, my thought is that Royal Normal may be retiring or wanting to cut back his hours in the next couple of years. According to a google search, Norman is 62. So, management may be looking to have Sean take over Royal's slot.

In addition, Brandon left once. Who knows exactly how long he's going to stay?
 
The timing of "Brandon Lee's" return is interesting.... Meredith finally makes
a "deal" with Dish Network and "Lee" returns a day or two later. What is
his real name again????

First: 3TV never really announced who was/were the permanent anchor(s) at 10:00 & 10:30PM. Makes me wonder were they expecting Lee to come back at some point.

Second: they blow up McLaughlin/Pickel prime time pairing.

Third: McLaughlin doing 10:30PM weather? I see what Former is saying, but would Sean want to slide back to weather, even being Chief Met, when he's the top anchor?

To give additional color on this, there is an update to my anchor pairing list. At 10:30pm on KTVK, the pairing is actually McLaughlin and Moore with McLaughlin also doing weather (double duty). So, Heather and Sean are anchoring the entire 10pm hour on KTVK. Apparently, Royal goes home at 10:30pm with Sean doing the final weathercast.

KPHO is now running commercials featuring Lee and Pickel at 6:30 and 10. It seems that Sean is no longer the "top" anchor on 5 anymore. He is doing a "hybrid" early evening anchor on 5 and late evening anchor on 3 (still a total of 2 hours of anchoring).

Apparently, Meredith has given up their previously stated rule of "separate anchors" on weekdays for 3 and 5. Yetta now does 3 and 5 in the am, while Sean does 3 and 5 in the pm.
 
In my opinion, I think Lindsey Reiser did a great job "filling in" during the week. With her seemingly tireless work ethic, she deserved to be promoted.

That said, I'm glad she has the weekend anchor gig. Hopefully Meredith Corp. appreciates her exceptional contributions to the company.

Agreed. Reiser does a lot of work and always seems pleasant, even when delivering bad news.
