I thought i read somewhere that Brandon Tierney was going to be getting the 10a-12p show on 1050 espn radio. Yet, they still have Colin Cowherd, which has become unlistenable. When will this be happening?

You read it here. The thread was removed. The poster mentioned a memo from WEPN PD Mike Thompson. Was it true or false? I tried to get in touch with their PD. Not available at the time. A rep answering WEPN's phone calls stated to me that Brandon was getting a show. What's the deal? If I have some time today I'll try to get more info on this.
I wish the poster would add some info to this saga.

I just got off the phone with WEPN PD Mike Thompson, who emailed me about this thread. Mike says that the memo was a FAKE, and did not come from him. Brandon Tierney is NOT joining WEPN. Thanks to Mike for contacting me and setting the record straight.

Brandon Tierney is NOT joining WEPN.
Brandon is still listed as a WEPN personality. I gather he's not getting middays but he's still with the radio station.
One good thing from this...it's nice to know that PDs are reading this board.

Due to the fact that 1050 must use a certain amount of espn radio (national) programming, WEPN is in no position to eliminate Cowherd from 10-12. Therefore, there would be no room for Tierney to have a show.

No, The Herd and Patrick has separate affiliate agreements from the regular ESPN Radio agreement (To be an affiliate, you have to run Mike & Mike, Game Night, All Night, a certain portion of the weekend programming and various spots and features)...they don't have to run him.
