So did you read Feder? Is Johnny wlling to work with Garry (2r's) Meier, just not for Infinity? Or is he opposed to working with Garry, Infinity AND Erich Muller? For a guy who has been off of Chicago radio for several years, he sure is doing it "his way".

If Johnny keeps this up, he'll be doing afternoons at WLAV in Grand Rapids.

And what's up with Garry?

Will BUZZ join Johnny, or does he hate him?

WCKG was down to the last bullet as the old Hawkeroo would put it, so.......

It looks like Dick Biondi will end up doing mornings on Oldies 105.9!!!!

His time has gone. His window is closed. Johnny B will make as much impact in Chicago as Windy 100 did. It's too late baby now it's too late. Not enough of him in the market since his hey day places him in the Kev Room. There's just not enough people who remember, not enough who'd care and not enough to satisfy his over-inflated ego. He's not worth more than union wage and overpaid every penny after that. From a business persepective, there's really nothing to gain with him at this point in time. Unfortunate but true.

However, Johnny B will be very expensive to have and I don't think WLUP is going to all of a sudden jump to first place with him there. I would think at best their ratings would only go up a few tenths maybe a half share. Would spending that much money on him be worth it. Personally, I would rather listen to the current morning show because they play a decent amount of music. It's possible that some people want to rock in the morning and not listen to a bunch of talk.
Edited by WYTZZ95FM on 09/24/05 07:51 AM.

Eggs,

I know Biondi is a legend in Chicago, but mornings on 105.9? I don't think so. He's is a perfect time slot for me. I'm in bed by 8 PM, so I don't listen to his show.

I wish there was an audience for music in the morning....

Maybe they are waiting to see the final summer numbers with this request thing

if (as speculated above) it would only gain em a point with John....why not run the ship lean and mean...

Get Landecker...for mornings on a music station.
I'll listen.

Well, Windy 100 did all right for a while--until WLIT started playing all-Christmas music every holiday season and the Windy audience never came back.

Did anyone really think that ABC would switch 94.7 to oldies?--Come on now, admit it.
