Braves songs on the radio way back when....

Cosidering that the Atlanta Braves have won their 14th straight Division title tonight it got me thinking. I was in 3rd grade when this magical run started. What a fall 1991 was! There was so much excitement around this team. There were songs all over the airwaves about the Braves here in Atlanta and in all genres too.

My question is do amy of your radio folks know if manty of those songs still lie around in archieves here in town somewhere? I would love to hear some of them again one more time just for nostalgia-sake.
______________

The best were the Longhorn Steaks commercials.

"But next year fellas when you win the world series in a four-game sweep,
just try to win one before the bottom of the ninth inning,
so we can get some sleep!"

Oh yeah. Everytime I turned on the TV, listened to the Radio, or read the newspaper almost every locally run ad had to do something with the Braves. I remember that!
______________

Braves Radio jingles from back in the 70s

What I'd love - and cant find anywhere - is the old pre-game show jingle - "Batter Up..lets go..pitcher's starting to throw..we're all so glad that we came..cause its a brand new game!"

Corny even for 1977 but classic 70s AM radio.

I think I have that on a 45. I did have it anyway if it survived my most recent move. It was sold by the Braves as a fund raiser for the Cancer Society because4 pitcher Buzz Capra's father dies with cancer that year. The flip side is the Braves team singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame.

Is it just me or do I remember it being used, or something similar used by WSB before they relinquished the rights to the Braves broadcast the first time around? I found it odd that when I read those lyrics I immidiately started humming the tune in my head. That's strange because I am 23!
______________
