Brazil, Brazil, Brazil!

11780 Amazonias is just pounding in here like a ton of led shit bricks. SINPO Is all 6’s!
:)

11815 is quite nicely listenable. SINPO is like 45343.

9665 is ok’ish. Not as clear as 11815.

Inconfidencia is like 33333 on 15190

I’ve got a carrier and equal to noise floor audio on 10230, the Brazilian pirate.

It was around 1979 after I had DXed one overnight and taped some station on 1600 kHz from Queens NYC (near JFK Airport). I don't know any Spanish, so I brought the tape into the radio station for DJ Reyes Burgos to interpret. He worked across the hall at the AM station.
Reyes listened to the tape clip, then played it back to listen again. And then once more.
'That's not Spanish,' he told me. 'I think it's Portuguese ....'

Well, to me, Portuguese = Brazil. But the gosh-darn World Radio TV Handbook had about a dozen Brazilian stations on 1600.
Forever unidentified.

Nice catches there, SomeRadioGuy ! 73 !
