Breakaway Broadcast Settings

So I have a dedicated computer running a SSD and Wk23 and Breakaway into an old ASI 4215 card. Sounds pretty good for the most part, but cant get it "quite right" especially with the challenger stereo turned on. Also have noticed the bass is just too thumpy...
Anyone have some settings they wish to share for CHR... need clean highs, deep kickin bass and lots of agc so things dont fade until they have to :)

Plutonium NR
Range, power & speed all at 65
Bass shape: +3
Bass boost: +1

I use the iZotope Ozone plugin with Breakaway Broadcast, as well as "Enhancer" for reverb and some EQ. See how that works for ya...

As an alternative, I use the Zenith preset, Range=100, Power=63, Speed=100, Bass Boost=25, Bass Shape=-17.

My settings ARE pretty bass-y, but I feel like the compression makes up for it.

It's a very dense sound, maybe a little too dense, but it might give you a starting point for good multi-band CHR compression.

Breakaway Broadcast is a great product, and you'll likely get the sound your looking for out of it. You can also try the latest version of StereoTool 6.20 www.stereotool.com as a possible alternative, which musically has a come a long way recently. Demo download on the site. The GUI can be a bit strange after using BBP, but it could just be worth you checking out if you still can't get quite the sound your looking for from BBP. It has two styles of Stereo enhancer, but a good advantage is that it is so customisable once you work your away around the GUI. Use the default FM or User FM presets as a starting point for FM broadcast (or web presets for streaming), and tweak from there to your hearts content. ST 6.20 also has a new Declipper - apparently the very same one as in the new Omnia 9 box. Like BBP, ST has been very solid on the right pc. Both great value products, both quite different with their own fans/support base.

Try the Cleveland preset, back down on the speed to about 35-40, bass boost around +10 and bass shape of -5. Run the power and range both between 60-70. Clipping around +1.5 to +2.0.

I like this thread. Everybody recommends completely different settings ;D

Just goes to show how processing and sound is subjective!
