I heard the Breakfast w/Beatles farewell show on 103.7.
Sorry to see it go, and it was very gracious of Sue to come in and do the last show.

FYI-You can hear the show on WMGK on Sunday's. I believe Stockton College's radio station is also doing a Beatles show. I will check on that. Beatle's fans will have someplace to go.

This is true. 102.9 on sunday mornings, and weekdays for the beatles break at 4 PM.

Sad, I would listen to it online since I am well out of WMGM's coverage area.....I guess I can listen to the WMGK stream instead.

I also will be making the switch to 102.9 via the internet.I used to listen to the Beatles every Sunday with my son. He's a fan at age 9!!!!The last show was sad.It was emotional espicially when the host's niece called at the end and they told each other "I Love You" We wish everybody the best and will be listening on 102.9 beginning next week. The great music still lives on.

do you think wzxl would pick the program up? strike while the iron's hot. would be an interesting move.

Do you realy think a Classic Rock station in the year 2008 should set aside 3 full hours to an artist that broke up almost 40 years ago? I get it - it's The Beatles....but on the flip side, most people can't get it through their thick heads that Grunge wasn't born yesterday. That kid on the cover of Nevermind is 18 years old. The Classic Rock format needs to evolve, otherwise it's boring radio. I use the 12 year rule to define the heart of the Classic Rock criteria. 12 year old rock from the modern day should be considered Classic and if you are a modern day 40 year old rocker (Demo: 25-54), then include the rock that was 12 years old when you were 14 (about the time you began listening). Do the math. 1972 - 1996 - anything before or after is tertiary.

Most classic rock stations carry "breakfast with the Beatles" on Sunday mornings. WMGK in Philadelphia. and the classic rock station 104.3 in New York also does Breakfast with the Beatles, and those are major market classic rock stations.

I think there are many shows titled "Breakfast with the Beatles". Ilisten to the one with Dennis Mitchell that can be heard at http://www.bwtb.net whenever you want to listen to it. The Beatles are legendary. Their music transcends the generations.

Very well put, Bruce. I'll be listening to WMGK tomorrow morning.

I don't think RecRadio understands what the music is all about.

GSP and Darius, if your in range of the shark, you can probably get 102.9 with not much trouble, unless your way down in south jersey.

i live 75 miles away from philly, and i listen to MMR and MGK all the time, that and local Frank FM. MMR and MGK come in inside with a piece of speaker wire.

and REC Radio, the beatles kick ass. they will never be taken off the ar waves. Active Rocker WMMR plays the beatles. this station also plays system of a down. when people think classic rock, they think of bands like, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, Boston, Bad Company, etc... thats what classic rock is. i am all forf expanding the playlists into the 90's, but no one is going to ditch the real classics. 1972-1996? if you start the music at 1972, hundreds of great songs would be left out.

I miss Breakfast W/Beatles on the Shark. It had a local feel to it. I listen now on WMGK and also on 104.3 in New York.
