don't know if "Breaking Dishes" is planned as the next Rihanna single, but it should be;
the kids at The Bunkhouse are going nuts when ever I throw this on,it will dominate the airwaves this spring(write it down)
Ditto to the new Dannity Kane, "Damaged"....
 
Rihanna is on fire, but... the chorus ain't strong enough to become a big hit on the radio. Go ahead and post this thread in the Rhythmic or CHR/Pop boards. The music you picked fits better on those boards anyways.

It'd be very easy to turn the Rihanna song into a Dance/Club record, especially the "I'm blowin this blowin this house down" part (about 2 mins 20 secs into the song), which could be sampled and turned it into a Breakbeat sort of record.

The music I pick is the actual dance music of 2008, and "Breaking Dishes" will be a #1 record across the board this spring if it's released as a single...
 
well, the actual dance music of 1985 actually had mainstream national interest and success ,and made stars of the artists in this country which, sadly, is more than can be said for the music that you pick...

You need to chillax. If you enjoy 1985 so much go listen to "Axel F" by Harold Faltermeyer. You'd be happy to know that faceless Dance record went to number one on the club charts in the US back then, and number 3 on the Pop charts. Don't believe me? Ask Casey Kasem. It didn't hurt that the song was featured in the movie Beverly Hills Cop, but then again a lot of songs which were featured in movies didn't make it big.

A lot of the music I pick ends up being big with Dance fans, some of it blows up big time on charts all over the world, or is already charting somewhere. More then I can say for your Bunkhouse picks :p
 
There is already a strong Dance/House version of Rhianna's Breaking Dishes,,, been out for awhile now.

Im with Chrles that I dont think it will be very big at CHR or Rhythmic, but I think Dance stations and mixshows will be all over the Club Dance Mixes.

To be honest, I havent heard the non dance version of Breaking Dishes yet,,, Perhaps its better that I dont, cause I do like the Dance version.

How is that for Paragraphs Jimi, you always complain that I dont use them..lol I dont see how much difference it makes, it just uses more of the boards bandwidth. ;D

Hell no. Rhianna's my girl! It's great hearing her music on CHR radio. I'm amazed Hip Hop stations like Power 106 L.A. are playing "Please Don't Stop The Music", but then again KIIS-FM is whooping their ass in their own target demo. Wouldn't be surprised to see if one of the big L.A. guns finally flinches in the coming months and adds a real Dance record. I mean KIIS is playing Miley Cyrus and Pitbull (Power is playing the Pitbull record too) as well as Rhianna, so maybe John Parker will get his wish and Cascada's records will air on one of these stations, or a David Guetta record will be added.

Sorry for going off on a tangence. We can now go back to our nonsense drama if you'd like ;D
 
BREAKING DISHES WAS PLAYED ON THE RADIO HERE IN PHILLY ON WIRED 96.5 AND Q102 BEFORE I HATE THAT I LOVE YOU WITH NEYO.IT WAS BIG HERE.EVERY TIME I WAS SPINNING AT EITHER OF MY CLUBS GIRLS CAME TO THE DJ BOOTH AND ASKED FOR IT. TOP HITS USA(C179) JUST PUT A SOUL SEEKERS DANCE MIX OF IT ON THEIR DISC. THAT IS A HUGE INDICATION THAT IT IS THE NEW SINGLE...I WONDER IF Q AND WIRED WILL RE-ADD IT...DUH YEAH
