Breaking down Andy Furman and more (interesting points)

Original story: www.dinocosta.com

SPEAK YOUR MIND...AT YOUR OWN RISK!

By Dino Costa

November 3, 2006

Denver-

Talk radio.

What a business this is!

They want us to be interesting.

Provocative too.

They want us to be entertaining and opinionated, energetic, and bold.

They want us to strike a chord with those listening to us.

They want us to be different, to speak our minds, and to tell our audiences what's really on our minds.

They want all of this and more.

And then?

You're fired.

Meet Andy Furman. [EDIT]

It's my guess, based on previous experience, that Mr. Costa A) is on these boards and B) would probably appreciate it if the article were posted far, wide, daily and in large print.

:D

Who really gives a rats tail about any of that OMW?

Personally I could care less if it was printed on bathroom tissue paper at McDonald's.

I got the column off of the guys website and thought it hit upon some pretty good points.

The question is: Is he right with the points he makes in the story?

By the way, because of the "truncated" story here, if those wish to read the story they'll have to go to his website now in order to do so.

Dino? Is that you? :D

If it's not you, well, the only point I was making is that I believe Dino would not only not care that the article was reprinted here, he'd probably want you to put his name in large print, along with a link to his website.

He's a self-promoter extraordinaire. Nothing wrong with that. You kind of need to do that in sports talk radio, especially.

Yeah, this is me, Dino :'(

Please!

Thsi column to the best of my knowledge is nowhere else on the internet with the exception of HIS website and this radio blog.

My goodness people, does the column make legitmate points, or was Furman dumped in a justifiable fashion?

Pimping for Dino, always :D

Roxiee, if you aren't Dino, my apologies. He is on these boards - though I haven't seen him since a certain split - and is known to promote himself, not always under his own login name.

I actually agree with many of his points. And though I do think it's generally "all about Dino" in his mind, it's no surprise to anyone that "controversial" hosts feel pushed to be controversial, then get dumped when they cross some sort of line.
