Breaking news: Brooks and Dunn is breaking up after being in the country business since 1991.


From Entertainment Tonight's website:

(ET has confirmed from a source that the longtime country music duo Brooks & Dunn is breaking up.

The source close to the musical twosome says that Ronnie has had it with the group and wants to embark on a solo career.

After 20 years of making music and riding this trail together, we have agreed as a duo that it's time to call a day. The ride has been everything and more than we could ever have dreamed... We owe it all to you, the fans. If you hear rumors, don't believe them, it's just time.

We will release our "#1's...and then some" on September 8th and bid you farewell one last time in 2010, with the Last Rodeo Tour... (dates to be announced).

Is anyone really that suprised? I had heard rumors of a breakup for sometime now. Very sad day for country music listeners.
 
In 7 years or so They will be back together.I like these guys,Look at all the other country and rock groups that broke up and got back together.Alabama probably coming back in a few years.
