BREAKING NEWS.....it's raining

I kid you not! On KCAL 9 news down here in socal on the 2pm report today, they ran a breaking news slide with the sounder during the newscast for breaking news. They go immediately to the Sky 9 where Dave Gonzales says it's raining in Chattsworth. Mia cracked up over the comment.

Just as ridiculous when the stations down here in 'Dago start with their "STORMWATCH [insert channel number]" "STORM CENTER [insert channel number]" "STORM WEATHER CENTER" blaring zipping blinking shooting around graphics and sounders.

I clearly remember KABC-7 doing a live shot from the IE
showing the "aftermath of a powerful thunderstorm".
A tree the size of my arm had blown over onto a house,
DENTING the guttering. And yes, it was wrapped up with the
classic line "but it could have been much worse". See how many
times that line is used next time you watch any local newscast!<P ID="signature">______________
