From today's All Abcess:
Long-time Midday host Jodi Vail has been called into management's office at WKJY-FM Long Island because of "gross incomptence" after some moron on a Radio Board actually thought she was in the studio on a Sunday night during the end of a Noreaster.
No replacements have been announced, although it has been suggested that Jodi will instead voicetrack the whole station because of her pretty dramatic stellar ratings during her time period. WKJY management says Vale will absolutely not give weather forecasts though because she is going through the motions and gets moodier than Jim and Kim when it rains like a mo-fo.
Admittingly, Vail also has never been fully committed to her job or her career-- which spans about 10+ years or so on Long Island and Manhattan. She is, however, fully committed to that Union and won't do your spots unless you pay up. Big time. What a pain she is.
At press time, Vale has not yet made a final decision and JonRadio is considering attacking the GM in the parking lot for the job opening.
Experienced persons interested should contact Margie, music director at WKJY and submit a demo with no weekend closings. No traffic alerts. No turning it over to Brinka. No contests. Working on Sunday nights during major hurricanes and earthquakes a must. EOE
