Brent Douglas (Roy D. Mercer) dies at 69

Former KMOD Tulsa morning man Brent Douglas passed away on Saturday at the age of 69. For many years he and Phil Stone headed up KMOD’s “Morning Zoo” featuring Douglas doing prank phone calls as the voice of Roy D. Mercer. The character became famous in the 90’s as 15 different CDs were released on Capitol Records featuring Mercer’s phone calls. The show ended shortly before Stone’s passing in 2012
