BRETT MASON BACK ON WDJR

Brett, The WDJR website has your picture and your name as part of the new morning show. Congratulations! Jerry Gone...Brett back. That's cool!

I really, really need to get crackin' then.

What will I talk about?

Seriously, I am looking forward to it. WDJR was home for 8 years. I remember hiring Misty many years ago and she is one of the most pasionate, motivated, talented people I know so it should fun.

As I have tried to do in my posts on here I hope to keep the respect level up among Dothan broadcasters. We will try to win because I hate losing. But I will continue to respect the success and accomplishments of others. I have a lot of repect for everyone who is currently working in this market on the air.

Let's make some fun radio and try not to screw things up.

What a classy thing to say. Best of luck turning things around.

Between Brett and the other changes at WDJR, there is no hope for any other country station. The new afternoon guy has already worn a wide path and the rest will...put it all to rest. WTVY will be sold soon and That Will About Do It. I have spoken.

So it is true.........the Baha Men are coming to Dothan?

Brett,
Congratulations on the new gig! You're a good dude. Let me know If there'e anything I can do for you. Quick gambling question: Have you ever split a pair of 8's against a dealers "10" and actually won? I understand the logic behind it, but it killed me at the MGM Grand last month. Best wishes Brett!

Darren

Splitting 8's vs any dealer cards other than 2's - 8's is strictly a money saving play designed to take a small slice of the negative expectation away. I always recommend for the average player going to the weekend for a few days to just hit it. You will not be playing nearly enough hands during your stay for the long run to matter. And putting twice as much money on the table when you are at a decided disadvantage will eat up a small bankroll quickly.

I always suggest this for the average weekend player

8 8
Only split against dealer 2 - 8

A A
Only split against dealer 2 - 8

Just hit it, take the smaller loss and then scream loudly on those times when you pull a miracle 5!
