Brewer Broadcasting Shake-Up in Chattanooga

Earlier this week (maybe even just yesterday), Brewer Broadcasting moved its "Alive" CHR station in the Chattanooga market from 95.3 to 104.9. When I tuned in to 95.3 yesterday, I heard an alternation between the Alive programming, complete with liners that now say "Alive 105" instead of "Alive 95", and a DJ-less, liner-less "test run" of older pop songs, which leads me to wonder if Brewer is about to give 95.3 a Variety Hits format much like the one that Clear Channel recently dropped from its 97.3 station in the Chattanooga area.
______________

According to All Access...Brewer Broadcasting announced that 95.3 will become "Jack FM" and it will be jockless.

During the brief time I listened to 95.3 today, I heard not only a "standard" Jack FM playlist, but also a Jack FM liner.

Given the relatively small population of the Chattanooga market, Brewer is almost certainly running the same ABC satellite-fed version of the Jack format as South Central's Knoxville Jack FM station.
______________

FWIW the call letters of 95.3 were changed to WHJK in the last couple of days.

Right now there is no WALV. Is 104.9 the one licensed to Dayton, Tenn.? (if so it's still WDNT-FM)
