Brian Ansley - Longtime Augusta Personality Passes

Brian Ansley lost his battle with cancer and passed away Monday afternoon, February 25. Brian was a fixture in Augusta radio for years. He spent much of his career at country WGUS-FM which later became Froggy 102.3. After Froggy abandoned the country format Brian worked at other Augusta outlets including AC Sunny 105 and last did weekends/swing at country Kicks 99.

We worked in the same building together more than once, partied together and were even neighbors for a time back in the day. He was always quick with a laugh and I can't remember him saying anything bad about anyone he knew. He was one of the good guys in this business.

He is in a better place now. May he rest in peace.

We'll see you later Brian.

I regret that I never got to meet him. He wasn't on my taste in music at the time, but he was sure my Dad's! How old was he?

I worked with Brian at Sunny and Big Gus!

He will be missed!
