Brian Douglas question

What did he do at Q102 in 1986? I remember Chris O'brien, Mark Sebastian, Steve Hawkins, Cindy Cruise(I think was her name), and the morning Zoo. I don't remember Brian Douglas being on the station until the early 90s. I was 11 at the time so I'm sure I've forgot a few things.

in 1986 Q102 was Q Morning Zoo with Fox and Obrien, Bobby Maxwell, Janeen Coyle, Steve Hawkins and Andy Craig as full timers. Chris Tyler also worked there and did different shifts. Douglas started as a part timer and then became music director. Sebastian returned in 88 I believe for his second tour of duty at Q102. Cindy Cruise was actually Cathy Cruise she didnt come to the Q until the early 90's?

Thanks! Now I remember. I don't really remember Janeen Coyle, do remember Bobby Maxwell though and yes you are right it is Cathy Cruise, I got her confused with another female personality with a similar delivery I used to listen to in a different market. If I only had a cassette player I could probably dig up some old tapes of Q102 from those days I recorded as a teen and pre-teen.

Man, my brain must be fried. I was there too until 1987 and for the life of me, I dont remember Brian being there then! If he was, he was not full time until after I left in 87. Others who where there during my tenure who have not been mentioned yet were Pat Barry, Squirrel, Scott Shively, Steve Bender, Rick Jensen, Dave Allen, Cindy Spicer and some girl named Marilyn (she brought a poo bear with her into the studio for every shift she did). Anyway, you wont meet a nicer guy in Radio in Brian. Props to him....amazing length of time at one station.

I thought Brian joined around 90 or 91, when Q102 was the WLHS radio staff on steriods.

RIP Scott Shively. I met him in 81 and 82 when I jocked the Explorer's Show tapings on KRC.

sidenote: To think that the old KRC/Q102 mens restroom is now the sales office of channel 12 is humorous!

Actually I was wondering about the 20 year thing also, not that he doesn't deserve kudo's etc. but he didn't start at the Q until at least November of 1987 or early 1988 cuz I left the Q in late November and he was working part time then at WINK for a few months till the end of the year (1987).

JUst saw JC McCoy's response, he is correct, Brian wasn't there until 88, it's all coming back to me, I left to go to Wink and Brian was then hired to do part time at Wink, he stayed for a real short time and then left to take the part time gig at Q102. Hey Jc! Steve Bender here!

Unbelievable buddy!! I think we've uncovered a scam!! I thought the Q was taking some poetic license by saying Brian has been there 20 years. Close but not quite 20. Anyway, just having fun here. I know he wasnt there about the time when Pat Barry dropped his drawers and hopped on top of the copy machine and took a picture of his own ass! I know he wasnt there when the old WINK helicopter came up on our studio window and the dude in the cockpit gave me the finger while I was on the air! I know he wasnt there when Hawk and I did the Barnyard one morning for the Morning Zoo while Fox and Obrien filmed a new tv commercial down the hallway. I know he wasnt there when Sabo was looking to see someone completely naked. I know he wasnt there when me and Hawk called you in to run the board at 3 am while he and I hopped in the van to go do one of our legendary all nite remotes! Jeez, what great times and for God sakes have the corporate suits ruined everything! That was Radio. Anyway, congrats to Brian. 20 years or whatever, what a great accomplishment.
