Brian James Passes

All Access is reporting that voiceover talent Brian James passed away after a heart attack this morning.

James of course voiced Star 94 for years and years as well as numerous other stations. His original voiceover base was WFLZ-FM in Tampa (in its Power Pig days).

A few years ago, you could have driven up I-85 from Atlanta and heard James in virtually every market in the South.
 
He was the imaging voice for WZNY-FM, Y105 in Augusta when I was there in '98-99 (currently CC's WEKL-FM, Eagle 105.7). I always loved his imaging. He had a great voice.
 
He was the imaging voice of WVRK-FM Rock 103 in Columbus for nearly a decade.
