I'm surprised no one has mentioned the departure of Brian Mulhern from Coast yet.
It happened Friday. I know this news is a tad late but I'm still surprised.
 
A "tad" late. Oh that's funny. Anyway I'm not crazy about the way that show is handled at all but I'd think going in a hotter direction he might make more sense being there than he did when they were softer or more mainstream. He's still on the website. I know I've dissed those two in the past but I hate to say it, there were better places in that building to put Brian than Coast so I don't blame him.
 
A shame that they brought Brian into the station when they were trying to hip it up under the Bill Hess days. Then for whatever reason they tried to be a lame version of Lite (if that's even possible). Then when they hip it back up again they blow him out. Absolutely ridiculous!

That's what you get when you let your GM program!
 
Does Tad even know about this? He was on vacay Friday & I'm pretty sure Brian said he was going to Africa. Brian was flying solo but Amy Pontes was back. He mentioned he'd be out this week & Coast would be running the best of Tad & Brian all week. It would be the lowest of the low if they actually ran that the week after letting him go. I don't wake up to them but make a point of catching some of the show every morning on the drive & this really sucks. Brian has proven he can be hip & edgy but also sounds believable taking calls about parents taking their kids' sports too seriously. Did Corwin hire a new PD in his own image or was a decision like this out of programming's hands?
 
Corwin was the reason Brian returned to Clear Channel. They have a history together. Going back to their days at HJY
& the old WRX. Anytime a new program director comes in, changes happen.. I wonder if the new pd will reunite Tad with Chris Whitten? He would be a good fit for WSNE. Maybe Brian will end up at WMMR & reunite with Jaxon?
 
Well at least nobody can accuse them of ruining his Thanksgiving or Christmas.
 
Courtney Kelley is on so if they promoted a "best of" week they obviously lied to the audience.They could have just told Brian Courtney would fill in rather than delude him into thinking something else would air.Now I wonder if the show will be Tad and Courtney or if Tad has an unwelcome surprise waiting when he gets back.
 
Brian knew that Courtney was going to be on this week, when he left on Friday he said was going to be on vacation until July 9th and Courtney was filling in for them this week
 
Brian is off the website. I must admit I think it's long overdue. Sounds like a good guy, but he really is over-cheesy, predictable with his "woe is me" punchlines, and kind of nasally for an on-air.

Kristen Lessard's profile is really up to date, mentions David O'Leary and Brian Mulhern. Can someone wake up Oxford St.???
