Brian Murphy doing traffic...

I guess Brian Murphy can't seem to find a jock gig in the city yet. I've been hearing him doing traffic on KYW 1060 Saturday nights. It can't be paying much so I can't imagine he's doing it for the money do you think? Or, actually--maybe he IS if he isn't finding a radio gig yet. Anyone know what he's up to these days?

He's originally from my part of the woods in PA. Understand he is doing voice work too. What a great set of pipes and personality to boot...his talents are certainly being wasted.

"Talent" has never been any assurance of a gig in Philadelphia; witness the plethora of those on air there without much if any. Of course, if history is any judge, he'll be re-cycled with the rest of the small "talent-pool" and will emerge soon as "the next big Philadelphia media star".

At some point after Eagle I heard Brian on what was then Kiss 100. I remember it was a Saturday or Sunday night. Don't know how long he was there. It was weird and a little sad to hear the guy doing a very soft AC love songs format. But hey, we all gotta eat.

I hear him on a lot of commercials on WIP, so I guess he's doing some voiceover work there.
