Briana Whitney Leaves Arizona's Family

Briana Whitney, AZ Family's True Crime Correspondent, is leaving the stations. Her last day was Friday April 24, 2026.

She posted a video on Facebook thanking the staff and viewers. She said the cryptic 'I can't say where I am going yet' but by they way she talked, she is not leaving the Valley and she wants to continue to report on true crime.

So let the speculation begin: where is Briana going to land?

Wow! She's excellent at the true crime reporting. I always figured she'd end up at a network or something else national.

Briana has joined the Crime Junkie podcast as a breaking news reporter. She'll be in Indianapolis for a few months and then working out of Phoenix. They're building her a studio.
I haven't heard of Crime Junkie. Something to look up.

A few days ago, Briana posted on FB as she was flying out of Sky Harbor. She didn't mention a location, but had 3 big suitcases plus her cat. It looked like she packed for three months. :)
