Does Yakima get more E-Skip than we do here in the west? I didn't scan at all today, but I did conduct several scans from Camano Island yesterday, and about the most surprising thing was KYNW trying to come in in stereo at nearly 80 miles, must come directly up the sound which was about 30 yards in front of me.

It sure seems like it this year. Some years western WA will have loads of skip, other years the west will hardly have any and most openings will be in central and eastern Washington. A DXer in Portland had 88.5 Vail, CO today and KTEP 88.5 El Paso as well as possibly KATC 95.1 Colorado Springs.

The 97.7 has been IDed as KNOZ Orchard Mesa, CO, repeating KRYD 104.9 Jack-FM in Norwood, CO, which explains the San Miguel Basin Fair and Rodeo commercial in the unid clip. This was just after I logged KMOZ-FM on 92.3. NEW #292, 5KW at about 800 miles.

The past several days I've tuned the empty channels on a couple of my FM radios and nothing, except infrequent tropo enhancement from here in the Seattle metro area.

Rick N6KCR in Seattle bagged KUWR 91.9 Laramie, WY last night around 8PM on unattended recording. You'll see him on the TVFM Skip Log sometimes.
