Briggs out at WSOS?

Sounds as if Meaghan Brooks is the new morning host. Her voice is familiar. Was she formerly "the other Michelle Michaels" on the old WSOS?

She is also listed as Production/Program/Promotions Director on the website.

There was once a time topics involving Briggs, either directly or indirectly, would have generated tons of comments.
I realized weeks ago that when I didn't hear those famous words "filling in for Kyle Stevens" that Briggs was out. But I guess I didn't jump to post as the feeling I get is few want to talk about anything in here anymore. I suppose many are burned out over Briggs anyway.

Perhaps the fall book coming out soon will generate some comments. We'll see.

Why burned out? Plenty left to shout about....

What the heck is left to talk about? He was the subject of 100s of postings both directly and indirectly just for lifespan of Renda's WKQL alone. If anything, Briggs should be grateful to have had the radio career he had.

While those with real programming talent and the ability to get numbers despite challenges find themselves pounding the pavement looking for work, this guy was retained for many many years.

It was obvious from what was heard on the air that he was in way over his head whether the format was classic rock, classic hits, oldies or familiar favorites. He did not have what it takes to grow an audience - his numbers were always dismal and yet he survived much longer than virtually everyone else. Perhaps, you are right. The subject of Briggs still got me shouting...Peace....

Plus if you don't market a station the audience will never grow. when the old Arrow put Bob & Tom on the air they did NO marketing at all. !!! Considering what Briggs had to work with that sounds pretty good to me.
