Bring Back KRock

10 million purchasers also bought cds like the Spice Girls first album, N sync's second album,and most of the Britney CDs...big numbers don't necessarily mean something is an earth shaking work of art(although I do like Dark Side, although not as much as the druggies did..)
 
the same 1 million people kept buying it over and over cos they were so high they forgot that they had already bought it...
 
Sorry K-Rock Failed twice within 5 years. It's not coming back, not by CBS Radio anyway. another Radio company would be the only way and only if CBS Radio Lets them use the name which I highly doubt.
 
Okay, plug time (again) since there's a lot of mourning here on the board for KRock-2...try Altrok 90.5 HD2. It's kinda local, it's more automated than we'd like (but we want to fix that) but it's got what I think you might be looking for.

http://wbjb.org/altrok gets you to the online stream, or if you're hooked up with the HD and don't mind trying to pull in a station from the Jersey Shore with a *serious* directional high-gain antenna (Staten Island and Brooklyn are, I think, the likely candidates here) just pull us in over the air at 90.5 HD2.

(By the way, for lalumia: we play the Dolls. New stuff, too.)
 
sounds fab....start the campaign to get The New York Dolls into the Rock&Roll Hall Of Fame, now that Iggy & the Stooges are being inducted..
 
Was it Kidd Chris that did the afternoon show on K-Rock? That show was a disaster. I guess CBS wanted a non-offensive show in the afternoon.

That would be Booker who did afternoons on WXRK - both with and without Stern in morning drive, IIRC (remember "Free FM"?). Incidentally, Kidd Chris did afternoon drive on WYSP in Philadelphia - again, with and without Stern in morning drive. Kidd Chris was never on in New York City.
