Bring back WHN

Ok, just kidding about WHN. I know this must have crossed my mind sometime, since about every week or so someone on this board wonders why country music can't be heard on the non-HD FM dial in New York City. But what about AM? Are the various brokered stations on lesser signals still better money-makers than a country format would be? Or classic country? Not really a country music fan, so I can't say that I'd be disappointed by the signal quality of an AM country station. Or that I'd even listen.

I'm sure this has been discussed previously, apologies to everyone who's sick to death of this topic... just thinking out loud here. I'll shut up now.

It's all good, IBL - that's what this board is here for, after all... ;)

It makes you wonder, though, should ESPN find a way to move their station to FM - turning what would then be the old 1050 signal into a country station, classic or otherwise, might be a classy tribute to the former occupant up until 1987... Will it get ratings? Who cares, the AM band is on its way out, anyhow, might as well enjoy the good times while you can...

(And for the love of Pete, please do not start up a "Bring Back Blink" thread! )
