Bring the Cardinal Broadcasts to KMOX

It will be useless anyways CBS Radio is getting away from Airing Baseball and Football games Not just In St Louis. The Twins are leaving WCCO in Minneapolis for KSTP and the Pirates are leaving KDKA in Pittsburgh probly for Clear channel's WBGG and one of it's FM's most likel WPBG. And with the Cardinals Owning KTRS I really dont see the Cards going back to KMOX anytime in the near future. I think the Only Markets CBS Radio will keep PBP Broadcasts are in Chicago, LA, NYC and maybe Philly because of either owning All Sports Outlets or 50,000 Signals for said broadcasts.

Does this take into account the unforseen storm damage that hit KTRS transmitter site?

i Dont think this is storm damage Related. the Cardinals Fans are Just Miffed that the Cardinals must have felt the CBS Radio impending Detonation of Sports PBP on its Radio stations. and Found a taker in KTRS even with the Cards getting 50 percent ownership in the station. KMOX and the Cardinals are as Dead as The Twins at WCCO and the Longstanding Pirates/KDKA Affiliation. wouldnt shock me to see the Redwings, Lions, and Tigers leaving CBS Radio Detroit in the next few years when Deals are up in Detroit, the Only Markets i see CBS keeping Sports PBP will be in the big 3 markets where radio is big in terms of anything with CBS owning serveral 50kw stations in the big 3 Markets.

Mike....

Thanks for clarifying. I, for one, didn't think the Cards lost much...if anything with KTRS. I saw it as basically a mix of psychology and nostalgia. A longing for the days of the past as well as the warm fuzzies of the 50kw signal....even though KTRS signal in the daytime is every bit as good ad KMOX, and the KTRS nighttime signal is certainly high quality throughout the metro.

As for others you mentioned, I happened to be in the Twin Cities this year when the announcement came that the Twins were leaving 'CCO. In this case, KSTP's sginal clearly is inferior....day and especially at night. But there are more than adequate ways to compensate for this. Detroit's also sort of a funny one....with the Tigers having jumped from WJR several years ago. If memory serves, they're currently on WXYT, which has a great 50k signal....as long as its pointed right at you!

Wouldnt Shock me when the TIgers Deal is up with WXYT. I See the Tigers getting dumped out by CBS. Wouldnt Shock me to see the Tigers either End up at WJR again or over in Clear channel land at WDFN.

Congrats from this longtime Yankees fan to the Cardinals. Agreed as to KMOX-AM 1120. I've only picked it up once here in central Connecticut a few years ago. (We have WPRX-AM 1120 Bristol with a crappy nighttime signal.)

P.S. Now if the Cardinals could've won like this two years ago against Boston? (Only kidding!)
