Britney Griner on ESPN Radio 10/17/12

REALLY surprised that no one else had started a topic about Griner's appearance on Mike & Mike on October 17th. That was probably the most painful interview segment I'd seen since Jim Rome had that "you bet" horse trainer on. Here's just an example of the interview:

Greenberg: Britney, how do you feel about Baylor's chances this year?

Griner: mumble mumble Do it again mumble mumble

Greenberg: And do you think you can repeat?

Griner: mumble mumble National Champions mumble mumble

Britney, take it from me, you have NO future in broadcasting after your playing career is done.

Sounds about right. I covered her final two years of high school in Houston and almost never talked to her for this exact reason. That she had her own publicist - yes, you read that right - was an extra inconvenience. I got along great with the PR lady, but the fact she had one in the first place ...

Probably most listeners turned the channel when they said "Britney Griner, up next" and went on to something productive for a few minutes.
That's prolly why nobody's mentioned it.
Besides, if we mentioned every incomprehensible athlete interview as it happened, we'd be here all day! :D
