Britt Allcroft, 'Thomas and Friends' Creator, Dead at 81

She also co-created Shining Time Station, which was an early '90s staple on PBS stations. It was Shining Time Station that led to "Thomas"'s success in the United States. And the shows taught children about courage, responsibility, and kindness - important lessons for early childhood.
Like tons of children, I was another one who had Thomas the Tank Engine toys as a kid. I think I also had Percy too! I remember the George Carlin-narrated episodes well.

RIP, Britt. Thanks for the memories.
