Britt Moreno Leaving Fox 10 for KCNC (Denver)

*COURTESY MEDIABISTRO.COM/TVSPY*
Britt Moreno is the new morning co-anchor at KCNC, the CBS O&O in Denver. Moreno will anchor the 5 a.m., 6 a.m. and noon newscasts alongside Alan Gionet beginning in early April.

“We are very pleased to have Britt join CBS4,” news director Tim Wieland said in announcing the hire. “She is a great journalist who connects with viewers and will be a strong addition to our talented team.”

Moreno comes to KCNC from KSAZ, the Fox O&O in Phoenix, where she has been the weekend morning anchor since 2010. Prior to that, she worked at KRGV in Welasco, Texas, as a general assignment reporter.

Moreno replaces Brooke Wagner, who left KCNC in January.
I wonder, now that Dan is gone aswell who will replace the whole newsteam!

Well, I guess we will see. With the exception of 3TV, which puts a lot of resources into its weekend am newscasts, most stations don't really care about the weekend am "anchor" team. It's really for those who are climbing the anchor ladder -- which often means that they move on to other markets.

That said, I really liked Britt and Dan and am sad to see them go. Congrats to Britt for a well-deserved promotion to morning anchor in a large market! (At least she didn't have to go to Fresno :D).

Hopefully we'll see some new people! Or maybe Kristin Keogh will take over? (I personally think shes needs more experience) And Britt sure does deserve her new position as Morning Anchor, especially at a CBS Owned and Operated Station! BIG Congratulation to her!
