Brittney Shipp on NBC

Former KTVK Meteorologist Brittney Shipp was on national NBC Early Today show (4:00 AM) shown on 12News KPNX. She was announced as being from NBC Philadelphia affiliate WCAU. It was the West Coast feed because her forecasts concentrated left of the Rockies. Brittney also was on MSNBC but it was 2-3 AM Phoenix time.

Wow! Brittany's a big time meteorologist now!

Glad to see that she is getting national exposure! Still miss her here in Phoenix, though.

It's not unusual for the New York City based Network shows to utilize talent from their network stations close to the NYC area. I have seen a number of Philidelphia, Boston, Providence and NYC weather personalities appear on GMA or the Today show when the usual character is off. GMA sometime breaks this tradition and calls in people from other stations on their network, even Phoenix as both Kayley O'Kelly (now with KTVK) and Amber Sullins of KNXV (ABC-15) have both subbed on the weekend editions a couple of times.

tvspy is reporting that Brittany Shipp has left WCAU and is moving to KRON in San Fran. Congrats to Brittany!! Still miss her here in Phoenix!
