Broadcast Console that Allows Remote Access?

I've always been told that if you have a question about if something exists or is possible, ask an engineer! We are a small mom and pop in DFW with a small staff and sometimes we find it hard to find someone to board op for a remote. Is there either a broadcast console that would allow us to control a channel remotely, or is there another way to turn a channel on or off maybe through a switcher? We currently have an Audioarts r-55e, but I've been told if there's another console that can do this to price it out. I appreciate any advice that anyone can give me.

Most of the modern AOIP consoles have this function. Wheatstone GlassE, Aixa SoftSurface, ect.. If your just looking for a simple Off/On you can do that on your current console with a simple remote control from your automation or via the GPIO closures on a Comrex Access/Tieline. The only hitch is the fader would need to be up and in program since you can only remotedly control the Off/On on the R-55e.

Thanks Brad! I don't mind the fader being up and in program. This sounds like the most economical solution!
