Broadcast error leads to apology

Now I don't feel so bad about erroneously placing my own post in quotations.

Blakeney Communications has issued an apology over a sexually-explicit and racist conversation by several of its employees that was broadcast Saturday during the University of Southern Mississippi's spring football game.

We have one who just puts it to music...as if that is more proper. Come to think of it, she isn't even ours.

This is "news?" Why?

Is radio in Hattiesburg that boring that some chucklehead who stupidly left a live mike open and didn't check because he was too busy "talking smack" with whomever?

And less than 50 people heard it and there is praise for the one brain trust who had the smarts to record it and post it online? Why? Your 15 minutes of fame has, now, about 12 minutes left after reading and hearing this crap. No wonder real radio's in trouble when this is "headline news."

Hattiesburg is not the only market in which a radio station with such obvious emotional underdevelopment and mental immaturity, with only a basic knowledge of sexual function, exist. What I heard were some idiots who were busy worrying about what somebody else was doing or had done, while they showcased their total ignorance and assininity.

Swing and a miss.

The person who recorded it was ostensibly a LISTENER so thanks for insulting a USM football fan. (No, it wasn't me, I don't care for football. Sacrilege that such a statement is!)

I'm laughing at the whole thing. That such a boo-boo could be made on a so-called “professional broadcast”, that so few people appeared to be listening, and that one of those few people heard something so awful it was worth recording to share with us heathens.

And can we really call this real radio? It didn't go out over broadcast airwaves, it was a netcast. And believe you-me, there's plenty of messy amateur stuff online. But to come from, as I said before, a “professional broadcast” shows how far radio has fallen.
