Broadcast-only homes up 40% in 3 years

I dunno about subs but what stands out to me is that cable/sat offers more foreign language TV services than OTA. I know we have a substantial Indian population here and seeing two sat dishes on the rooftops is quite normal in certain neighborhoods. Same goes for mid-Eastern people.

OTOH, Spanish-speaking houses don't need cable/sat as much as OTA provides plenty of Spanish language programming.

I'd like to know how many of these "broadcast only" homes are actually watching over-the-air TV...and how many just have a TV sitting around but have migrated to viewing via tablets, laptops and the like.

Are they counting OTA-only, or those of us (like me) who use antennas for local channels and a Roku box and/or PC for everything else? Roku/PC users technically aren't "cord cutters" because the interwebs have to come from somewhere. That "somewhere" is usually a cable of some kind unless the delivery method is via cellphone.

Cable and broadcast networks don't care. The former aren't getting you either way.

They're not getting us because they don't want us. Time-Warner, Fox, and Disney have made it clear that they are not interested in anything other than their cable/satellite business model. They do this at their own peril. They could very easily charge a reasonable online fee for their channels but refuse to do so.

their profits aren't suffering yet, it will be years before there are enough cord cutters for that

This counts homes that do not have cable/sat but do have a tv hooked up to an antenna. Whether they have Netflix, etc is not detailed from what I can tell.
