Broadcasting live?

I just heard KPEZ do it's hourly announcement, "Broadcasting live from the Safe Auto studios..."

It was a recorded liner that ran during a voice-tracked DJ's show.

Be honest with the listener and just drop the word "live."

BTW-- Are stations still required to run those announcements that used to say, "Portions of the broadcast day are mechanically reproduced (or pre-recorded for broadcast at a later time.)"

I never knew they were.

Honestly 99% of listeners aren't gonna care a buck about where the programming's coming from. Only those of us who like radio do.

Probably for Television. But if they share their offices with Safe Auto, then it is being honest.

Like from the Avery Ranch studios this is KXBT Leander 98.9 The Big Talker. I do remember them stating that during the Big Talker's run.

I think they mean some sort of physical presence. Rather it be a transmitter, office, etc.

What's really silly is when you have the same naming rights on competing stations. For a long time here in Houston we had two competing SportsTalkers both claiming they were broadcasting from "The Bud Light Studios." ::)
