After all that confusion about what KTU is playing, I just wanted to give credit to a cool idea. As Monday was a day off, I heard most of Broadway Bill Lee's retrospective to 1986...and driving around it was great: some songs you'd normally hear on KTU (Prince's "Kiss", Eddie Murphy's "Party All the Time"), other pop songs that while they aren't technically dance, certainly have enough of a beat to them (Falco's "Rock me Amadeus" (the full version), Genesis "Invisible Touch", Lionel Richie "Dancing On the Ceiling", Eddie Money "Take Me Home Tonight")...
As someone who was only 5/6yo in 1986, it was great to hear a ton of songs I love, all together, with a legendary dj...I honestly was trying to picture myself back in the day listening to the old Z100 or Hot 103 (or in my case, growing up in Boston, our own legendary Kiss 108)...Broadway is the perfect jock for this...a nice idea by KTU to spike some interest in the listeners....keep it up...
