Coinciding with Brody's departure, Mix 100.7 is supposedly making an announcement later this week on who will replace him in mornings... "[A] former Tampa area morning show... teasing a return to the market." I personally hope it's Ron & Ron.

Normally I don’t post things like this because I expect greatness from myself. But as I close this chapter, I couldn’t walk away without sharing something I’m incredibly proud of.
The most recent ratings came in, and the Mix Morning Show with Brody was #1 in the target demo of women 25–54 and also #1 women 18–49, plus #4 in the same demos with men and women combined. In one of the toughest and competitive radio markets in the country.
Doing that solo, against shows with teams of three, four, even five people, was a challenge I absolutely loved.
I’m proud. I’m grateful. And I’m walking away knowing I gave my home town, Tampa Bay everything I had! Together we built something that truly stood out.
Thank you for believing in me and showing up. This is one hell of a way to finish.
Here’s to new opportunities, new stories, and taking this momentum into whatever comes next in the new year!

I'm sure Cox is taking notice of this...
 
I thought Laura & Brody had a great thing going on Mix and I was sad to see iHeart Tampa didn't keep Brody around when Laura left. He's a known talent in the Orlando/Tampa area and I hope he gets something when the time is right.
