Brokaw interview/99X

At the risk of being negative I was wondering if anyone heard 99x's interview with Tom Brokaw. It came across to me as very unprofessional and poorly done. I meant to ask about this last week when I heard it, but it slipped my mind.

Brokaw interviewed by a Howard Stern wannabe (and a bad one at that)...what do you expect?

Had it been an old Morning X interview, I'm sure the quality would have been much greater.

I didn't hear the "last" interview, but are you sure it was really Tom Brokaw?? I remember back around his retirement they had a impersonator on and I thought it was funny as hell.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I just happened to be flipping through. I prefer the Buzz, Regular Guys and 790 to their show actually. It could have been a prank of some sort, but I'm not sure. It sounded legit to me, but then again I didn't stick around for the whole thing. They were questioning him about his slight speech impediment. That was the part I heard and it was not very well done.

That was a worked bit. That guy was a comedian in town that does a dead on impersonation.

Thanks for the info. Typically I also don't like bits and worked interviews either, but I'm glad it was this as opposed to them coming across as total (BLEEP). On the old 790theZone.com I used to always rant against "bits" btw. I just think it's funnier when the hosts have a natural chemistry than to do worked bits.

You also have to think....why on earth would the REAL Tom Brokaw do an interview on 99x?

Well that thought did cross my mind, but I still wasn't sure. That guy was dead on btw.

Also I apologize for the word I used in my earlier post. It got replaced with a (BLEEP), but it wasn't offensive the way I used it. I'll remember that I can't use that one again.

So it was even lamer, hell at least do someone that is a little bit funny, brokaw is not even remotely funny.
______________
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day
