Brooke Austin will join Kevin Wall for TN Today

Kevin Wall won't be a solo act when his new WLAC show premieres on Tuesday. "Tennessee Today with Kevin Wall" partners the Nashville newcomer with 1510 veteran Brooke Austin. Sounds like it's still heavy on news as opposed to a Gill-type show.

Does WLAC realize that getting someone from out of state to run a political show during a STATE ELECTION year is not the best thing to do. Why did they not consider bringing in someone local who already has connections with the TN political scene? My best suggestion is for WLAC to find somone who is well known within the political circles to join Kevin's staff in some way. Without doing this Kevin will be the spending the first 1/2 of the year introducing himself and gaining crediblity both with listeners and the politicians themselves.
Not saying Gill is a good talk host but no person can criticize who he knows.

The fact that Kevin is not buddies with any of the candidates might just make him more objective

Certainly, lets not get someone with a fresh view void of ties. It would be horrible to have someone gifted in interviewing and reporting to come in and form an opinion without all the baggage of friendships and associations. WLAC, this is a great hire and a perfect time to bring in a fresh view.

So tired of the "view" of many here locally and yearn for a fresh voice and fresh opinion.

I hope some of the local politicians are getting nervous.

You've got a point. I'm sick of the WWTN hosts telling us how virtuous Ed Bryant is.

Has anybody heard the hours of the show yet? Will it continue past the 8am
hour when the current show wraps up?

This has gotta' beat the current simulcast show. Will THAT show continue on Fox TV?

Of course the show will continue on Fox 17. It was on there before they made this deal with WLAC. Not a bad show, but TV shows don't translate that well on the radio.
