Brother Wease?

Uh sorry...you're very wrong on that statement. Please review other threads on this board in terms of my credibility. When his "points" are being called out by others including the MM of the cluster he's making illogical comments about...it's been proven who's right and who's wrong.

But I appreciate your post being made with liquid courage!

Give it a rest, luvcoors. We get it! You're a top level radio professional in Rochester who knows more than anybody else. So, the rest of us might as well keep our opinions to ourselves. Luvcoors has spoken. His opinion is always right.

Well you know what? You're a Johnny-Come-Lately to this board. Some of us have been posting about radio since the Buffalo area website RealAmherst once had a radio board. Remember that Sir Rox? We've had some wonderful discussions on this board. We can disagree. Sometimes we'll take shots at each other. But man, luvcoors, I have never seen such arrogance! I have no idea who you are. So, I'm not going to question your credibility. What I do know your belittling of Bob1370, and quite frankly anyone who disagrees with you, is offensive. Bob been doing radio in Buffalo and Rochester for more than 30 years. He deserves more respect. And this comes from someone who has disagreed with him on some public radio issues in the past. So, if you can't play nice, just go away. I'm sure I speak for most of the people posting on this board that we're growing tired of you!

Lemme say something...never said you can't share an opinion. I'm certainly not the gatekeeper here. But as I said before, there's a difference between posting an opinion that's logical and close to the truth vs. posting a pile of junk that ends up getting the MM of the cluster Bob was talking about to post here and tell him how wrong he was. That's what I was referring to!

You still don't seem to acknowledge that some people read this board and take everything they read to be true. Which isn't fair to anyone if the truth is being distorted!

I'm a "Johnny Come Lately"...who's dating themselves now? For the record, I've been here for 6 plus years...not all under the same screen name. You know what they say about assuming things right? Makes an a-s out of you...and never me! Fact of the matter is, Bob was making thoughts about overall strategy based on 12+ and nothing else, while working for a non-commercial station and understanding nothing about overall cluster strategy. It was laughable stuff and showed how truly out of touch he is. I'm a product of the last 15+ years in this business and can speak much better to what could, might, and will happen.

Flipping a station that's #3 W 25-54 broadweek and #1 or #2 W 18-34 broadweek just because they had a 4.6 12+? LOL LOL LOL. That makes sense! I also became offended and upset at him when he made claims about things I never posted here. Another Bob made the comments that he thought I said. You wouldn't get upset at that...it is a public forum you know! I'm sorry his dementia or whatever's ailing him. Bob1370 may have experience...but that's a far cry from having actual knowledge and understanding.

When my comments are validated by the man in charge of the issue in question and others...I know who's right.

I can play nice...but I also have a responsibility as a member of this community to insure the record is set straight.

'Coors... I'm just thinkin' ya coulda picked a better alternative moniker... like LoveMolson, LoveGenny, Love SimonPure.

And then there's this disclaimer that appears on the bottom of each page of this board:

My last post on the subject since it appears that most aren't understanding the difference between the 2 sides. I agree with some of what's been said, but at the same time...most lurkers or newcomers don't pay attention to the small print. What I said about the facts was mostly validated by the head of the party in discussion, what wasn't 100% accurate that I wrote, was only slightly off.

What I wrote about the opinions was dead-accurate as well since I take pride in my knowledge and how it pertains to the issues discussed. Find me someone that feels making opinions solely based on 12+ numbers and nothing else...and is also successful. I'll bet good money that person is also not making money and will never make good money, since they efuse to learn and adapt which is what you must do in this business now to win!

Dude... we just love stirrin' the pot and watching the dust-ups. We are afterall, radio dorks. Nothing more than "Talk Radio 101." We've ragged on Bob1370 and his penchant for (a) sending a well know Rochester female co-host to Buffalo to join an AC station that's already at the top of its game and doesn't need her help, and (b) taking SOME Rochester radio station Hispanic. He seems to take it in good stride. Yes, Doyle refuted Bob's speculation and re-affirmed your programming theories, but don't get too heady. This board has a certain charm of knocking its presumed savants on their singular and collective asses. I've been on the receiving end of the Shmuck Of The Week Award myself. Enjoy the game. It's all in good fun on these boards and nobody goes home cut and bleeding.

Method vs. Madness

Coors, we understand your point. What people object to is your attitude.

Attacking an idea that you find unpalatable or wrong is one thing. Attacking the person who expressed that idea is another. The idea of civil discourse is to attack the idea, not the person, unless the idea itself is unassailable. Your heavy-handed ad hominem attack on a guy with a long history in the business was uncalled for. A simple statement of the facts as you see them would have been enough.
